I can play the game with no crashing at all. But only without DLCs. At least that works for me.
1) I completely uninstalled the Sims 4 and the Origin client.
2) Restarted the computer
3) Renamed "My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4" to "My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 - Backup"
4) Completely deleted the remaining Origin folder (for example "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin")
5) Completely deleted the remaining Sims 4 folder (for example "C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 4" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4").
6) Installed Origin as Administrator
7) Installed the Sims 4 - IMPORTANT: Only Base Game, NO DLCs
8) Installed ALL my mods from "My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 - Backup", including scripted once (of courses only scripted mods which have been updated for 1.68.154)
After that I was able to play the game for 5 hours WITHOUT ANY CRASH. And with sound ;-)
So the problem for me is definitely in one of the official Sims 4 DLCs. With all my DLCs installed, I was not able to play for more than 5 Minutes without crashing.
My DLCs are:
Expansion packs
The Sims 4: Get to Work
The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs
The Sims 4: Seasons
Game packs
The Sims 4: Vampires
The Sims 4: Realm of Magic
So it might by a good thing for EA to search the crashing in one of the DLCs.
I did not have time to install my DLCs one after the other, to find out which one is actually causing the crashing. Maybe I will do that tonight, I'm at work now, it's 11:34 over here.
