[FIXED] Loading family just loads Map again

I didn't download the holiday pack, but my game is doing the same thing.  😕mileysad:

i have the same issue indeed.I thought it was just me facing the same problems. I downloaded the Christmas Pack and everythings normal at first but then a few days later things gone wrong.Everything works normally except when i want to click on the house/sims that i made it wouldnt load.Even if i leave my laptop for a day it wont load and sometimes the game would take me back to the sims homepage.Smh,i was so annoyed that i tried to uninstall and re-install it again and clicked on the 'repair game' button but still it the same **bleep**.Dont worry im going through the same problem as yours.Maybe there's a technical error or bugs

This happened to me too! I find it so annoying. I love sims, and when this happened it really annoyed me because I know that thses sort of things can happen for a while 😕mileymad:

For Origin issue, don't just close Origin or press the cross. Open Origin, Select Origin tab and press exit. This closes Origin down correctly so doesn't remain open in the background and causing problems. I found this out when trying to install Sims4 to no avail.

I am however having the same problem as everyone else with the map issue. I haven't got an answer to that one unfortunately!

I spoke to tech support twice and both people told me we just have wait.  I think its total bull!

I'm having the same problem! I downloaded the holiday package and it worked with it for a few days. Then two days ago everything stopped. Well I can start up my game and it brings me to the start screen (map). I click on the family I'm working on and it looks like it's going to load even takes a bit. Then it brings me back to the map. I created a new family thinking it would work, and it doesn't. I'm beyond frustrated with it. I've deleted 3/6 of my family's thinking it was to much. I've deleted the game and reinstalled it. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.

i am having the exact same problem as you and i also found that after installing the holiday pack i started having this problem i have tried uninstalling aswell but still having no luck with it i have uninstalled the holiday pack now but it still isnt working its really frustrating !!

me too.  when we going to be able to play this thing?  refunds from EA required- please advise.

And now to answer your questions:

I do not have any custom content on my game. I only have the holiday pack from origin. 

About a couple days ago it would only not let me play on one of my saved households but now its all of them.

I can't even start a new game

I did not back up my game

Please help figure this out! If anyone knows when the next update will come out that would be great. Maybe it's just a glitch? And an update would fix it?
