Flashing Blue Icon with Loading Circle? Can't Play My Sims

Okay so recently I bought the sims 4 cats and dogs expansion and ever since or maybe even since the update (as I haven't attempted to play until today), my game refuses to work. Edit world mode works...

Could you try taking your CC/mods out of the game? Just move it from the documents folder to the desktop.
