Food stall food won't go in inventory

Issue

I have a sim that lives in the Fashion quarter. She buys food from a food stall, get the option to put it into the inventory, and she does so, and the food disappears. It never shows up in the inventory, nor in the family inventory. 

Steps you took for Issue to occur

No particular steps, but she's bought food from a stall several times now, in the hope of taking them home and putting them in her fridge for another day. 

Where does the bug occur ?

I haven't tested it in any other game, but it happens in the Fashion district with the single lass I'm playing right now.

All of them apart from Vampires (none of the stuff packs for Sims 4 I don't think)

Occurring since

I did the same interaction yesterday, but didn't notice it until tonight, and it happened several times.
