FPS Drops when scrolling/speeding up time!

@Blobberino Need the make and model or the 12V specs on the side of the psu. I have seen systems with dual rail power supplies and one rail overloaded and the other rail hardly used. I have seen memory modules installed in a way that dual channel won't work. You can not compare TS4 to other 3d graphical games. I believe the graphics are produced by overlays which uses considerable power from the video system. The MSI motherboard looks to be a nice board but Micro-Star International was always on the bargain end of the table. This is not saying the board is bad - I'm just saying it would not be my first choice. Depending on the quality of the power supply you may be under powered. Again the distribution of the +12V rail needs to be looked at. There is a bottle neck somewhere as the 1070 shouldn't drop to 11fps even with triple buffering. I feel something isn't right.
@roberta591 My mistake, I was incorrect about the wattage of the power supply. It;s a 500w

With regards to memory modules I am unsure what you mean by that, if you could elaborate for a simpleton like myself I'm sure I can help with this info 🙂
@Blobberino Well if you look at the label of that power supply it should say 38A on the single 12V rail. I'm guessing you could be pushing the psu to 3/4 of it's rating. While the power meets the requirement it's going to be working hard. Dual channel (and quad channel) can increase the speed of memory but you need matching modules in certain memory sockets for the motherboard to set to multi channel memory. I notice all the memory sockets are all black so it's time to read the motherboard manual to see if the board does multi channel and to see which memory sockets are paired. If you have 2 8Gb modules you may have to put 1 module in socket on, leave socket 2 open, and put the other module in socket 3. READ THE MANUAL! I noticed that MSI is using the Nahimic audio driver. This is used to introduce sound effects like echo and has been known to cause games not to run. I'm not totally up on DDR 4 memory as I'm an AMD processor user and I'm waiting for the Zen processor (which will support DDR 4) which should be out this year.
@roberta591 After replacing my PSU with a new more powerful one (did my research on which one was the best for the Wattage) And I'm only getting frame drops of 5-10 at most. Unsure if these numbers are what people normally experience if so then you found the solution! Thank you in advance!
The memory was already dual channelling and correctly as per the motherboard manual.
@Blobberino power supplies are seldom thought about and it wasn't long ago you only had to know the basics. Today's power supplies are engineered for effeciency, peak wattage, and other factors. Like other parts of the computer industry I find power supplies over rated and/or "cheating" by raising outputs on rails that are not needed but that raises the total (w)attage which looks better. If your total required wattage is anywhere near your system required need you should get a more powerful power supply. Frame rate drops are common for screens with a lot of movement and the more powerful the video card the less it should drop. (at least in theory). Most lcd displays are locked at 60 fps. As you advance over 60 fps there is only gain in resolution (how clear the picture is).
