Gallery won't connect in game

This has been an issue in my game for months, I've tried the obvious shutting down origin and the game and starting it again, I tried deleting the cache folder and moving the mod folder, and origin is definitely online when I try this. When I click on it there isn't even an option to go to the gallery, I can only see maxis content and my previous households that I created. What can I try to access it?
