Recently, my Sims 4 game stopped working after I downloaded Cats & Dogs due to Driver issues. Now that it works, the game is extremely laggy. I have mods and custom content, but my game has always been fine until this download. Cas mode, Build/Buy mode work fine, only live mode become extremely slow. I don't wish to get rid of my mods or have to be forced to download Windows 10. Does anyone have the same problem, and how can I fix this?

Also, try removing all mods and run the game (you can start a new save or just not save it afterwards). This is because we need to know if the issue is mod-related or computer-related, just so we can help better. For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.
If removing the mods work, always make sure to update your mods when you update your game. Check this list out for some mods that were broken in the latest patch 🙂
