I ran the scan and restarted my PC (and while scanning it said it was correcting something? Not sure)
Anyhow, when I followed the steps to create a copy of the logs on my desktop, the file was empty and I couldn't really get the results to show in powershell, even though I copy-pasted the suggested codes.
So I kind of...followed the first guide, to simply read the results and I tried copying them, but ended up copying the register itself.
I'm linking you that...I could have copy-pasted the errors, but at least you have all showing there, I guess (?)
@myBTSims The log is mostly in gibberish; I can't really get anything useful out of it. You're not the only one to report that the PowerShell command doesn't work, and I'm not sure why. But you should still be able to find the results in the Event Viewer; those don't get erased for a while.
You can also run chkdsk again, if you want. The command does fix some errors, so it's possible that it will come up clean this time. But since the process takes a while to run, you might want to look for the existing report first.
@myBTSims It's possible your post was flagged as spam, especially if you edited it a few times. (This site's spam filter can be a bit aggressive.) Anyway, it's strange that you can't highlight and copy the text from chkdsk; I've always been able to do that with other Event Viewer reports.
The bottom line is though, there may not be much you can do. It can help to play right after a restart, with no other apps open, as well, although it's not clear that memory management is an issue. It might also help to play on low graphics settings, and to make sure the laptop can keep cool overall, for example using a fan or at least elevating it to let air circulate underneath. But those aren't real fixes and may only help around the edges.
I'm sorry I don't have anything more concrete to offer.
In the deleted post I copy-pasted some of the infos I got from the Chkdsk register (with some eng translations I found online), the only problem was to save a txt copy of the codes and infos from the powershell scan.
Anyway, don't worry, it's ok, you helped me a lot and I'm thankful.
Hopefully it will get better, somehow, or I'll be finally able to buy a new pc
