Game Crashing on New Laptop - Help, please :(
Last week I bought a new laptop, a MSi. It WILL NOT play The SIms 4. I have tried everything, every trouble-shooting bit of advice I can find but nothing is resolving the issue I am experiencing with trying to play Sims 4 on my new laptop.
Most of the time the game is crashing straight to desktop with no error messages after a few minutes of gameplay.
On occasion, the game has crashed/frozen with a striped screen, and the only way to get out of the screen is to turn my laptop off at the power switch.
I've tried:
Playing a vanilla game - no mods/cc
Disabled DEP
Disabled Origin in-game
Run Origin/Sims 4 as administrator
Tried playing in Windowed mode
Tried lowering graphic settings
Ensured drivers up to date
Ensured game is running off Nvidia graphics card and not Intel
And I'm sure I've tried other things I've forgotten...
