Game Failed To Save Error Code 0

Since I patch when I have played for a bit and saved a few times, when I got to save again after an hour or two of game play I get Game failed to save error code 0. I have no mods or custom content, loaded at all, I also have my virus software turned off as my game won't run unless I turn off windows defender and firewall, my cache has been cleared several times, I have even removed the auto save file and moved my saves folder to desktop and even started the game again and one by one loaded my save files back in , play all them for awhile, go to save and bam hit with error code 0 again failure to save. This has never happened to me until the update and I was running before the update custom content and mods such as mc command center. It even worked for a bit after the update, but since I started getting error code zero I removed custom content, mods and scripts, cleared cache and started a new game loosing all my saves, everything was going well then I go to save last night hit with error code, I restart game, back to my last save and play for a bit more to have it happen again, frustrated I shut down for the night and started my game up today, everything going great i thought I fixed the problem, I save and go do something else, come back five hours later to play and play for an hour, go to save it as I have been trying to do changes on a house I have get it almost done and go to save, and wham hit with the error code 0 failure to save. This is getting ridiculous as I said this hasnt happened ever until the update, EA you need to fix the problem. I did all I could do on my end.

    I understand that you do not have any mods in the game for today, because this error cause outdated mods.
    Delete localthumbcache.package file from game folder and fix game in Origin / Library / right click on TS4 - option "repair the game"

    If the downloaded game files have been damaged to such an extent that the repair is not possible and you will still have this error , you will probably have to uninstall the game manually and download it again.

    If the game after repair works without old safes and files correctly it is not necessary,

    Thank you I will try that if it happens again. So far last night it hasnt happened since I started doing save as when saving.

    So I did all you said didn't work even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, create a sim tonight, not using any mods or cc at all, I play for a couple of hours I go to save and bam error code 0 pops up game failed to save. So now what? As I said this never happened until the update, I have been playing sims for years, once again they need to fix the issue.

    I thought about another solution. You wrote that you can not turn on the game if you do not turn off your Windows defender. This would mean that some file in your Origin was considered by your defender as a Trojan and quarantined. Maybe this file is also responsible for creating saves
    This is new problem and has just been reported but on the foreign page of EA Help.
    Maybe try uninstalling Origin and download it again.

    My sims 4 is not saving it says error 0 it just started doing this please fix ive come way to far on this game and payed so much money to unload it and reload if orgin is the problem then why even have it in the first place it was much easier and simpler just buying the disk and downloading it I like the old way better cuz this is redicoulise

    @DeketaM

    Your case is different than the one described above, besides, there is talk about reinstalling Origin program - not about reinstalling the game. Origin program you have to download from the net - it has never ever been on the disk.

    Try this because this solution applies to error code 0.

    Hello I have had this saving problem for a few weeks now. Every time this happens I would just repair my game and the problem would be fixed. Then the same "Error 0" would return and I would just repair my game. I was plying today and the "Error 0"  came back and I am no long able to save. I tried completely restarting my game deleting my save files and I am not sure of what to do. I love the sims it just sucks that its doing this! Also I am on a MacBook Air is there anything that i can do to help me be able to save my game?
