Game freezes when I cancel eating before my sim sits

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Make a sim take something to eat (like a plate of food). 2. Before sim puts the food on the table (or any other surface), while he is standing with the food, cancel the task.
What happens when the bug occurs? When sim is said to eat, takes food in his hands (from the fridge, table, kitchen countertop - the place does not matter) and the 'eating' task is canceled (I may do it manually or it sometimes cancels by itself) - the whole game freezes. To say it in other words I will put it in bullet points: 1. Sim is ordered to eat. 2. Sim takes food in his hands. 3. Sim is walking to the place where he will be eating (chair by the table) 4. Before it sits the task 'eating' is terminated. 5. The game freezes permanently.
What do you expect to see? I would expect the 'eating' task to terminate and the sim to put down the food, continue other activity.

I have a big problem with my sims 4 and it drives me crazy, not letting me play normally. 

When I tell my sim to eat it takes the food in his hands (from the kitchen countertop, fridge, table - the place does not matter) and before he actually sits to eat I cancel the 'eat' command - the whole game freezes. Then I need to do the hard-reset to the whole game, sometimes even the computer.

I tried to simply avoid cancelling the 'eating' task while the sim is standing with the food, before it sits to eat properly, however, the game sometimes cancels it by itself e.g. when the sim is meant to go to work.

Did anyone of you had such problem? It appeared out of nowhere some time ago. I tried to find any answer to fix it by with no results.
