Are you on PC or on Mac?
Moving the Electronic Arts folder into your saves files it was not a good idea.
It looks like the game uses a different folder and each time it moves the newly created save to a different location and you start a new game every time.
Most likely your computer is moving this folder arbitrarily to the cloud. If this is Windows, it will be OneDrive.
