Hey guys,
I’m having a really frustrating issue where I can't actually play my game. Every time I pick a household it goes to the loading screen for a bit but then just dumps me right back out to the World Select map.
Kinda like how the August update was.
I've tried it with a few different families and it’s the same thing every time.
I checked my mods,cc and nothing changed.
Mzlil_Bubbles Please test with your Mods folder removed, and delete localthumbcache.package as well. You don't need to save your progress, but it's critical to find out whether mods are causing the issue.
Mod scripts are enable mine does the same thing. You wont be able to use mods.
having the same issue with my game have you found a way to fix it?
I was literally just having this problem after like three days of searching , finally figured out that the twisted mexi better exceptions and better build buy were causing the problem

Are you all mod users? The August 2025 patch (1.117) broke many, many script mods, with this being the symptom, and these are still the ones most likely to be your problem. Please see the Solutions post in the pinned thread for this issue, which I’m moving you to. Please reply with an @ and let me know if you don’t have any mods, if renaming the Mods folder still blocks loading ALL households (not just previously played ones), or you are actually on console.

Blooming_Jewel18 No version of these is known to cause this. Are you now on the current versions, linked from his website?

Mzlil_Bubbles Have you tested with an empty Mods folder? Downloaded any mods since August?
