Game lag + Mod Enabling

To whom it may conern,

My game has recently started lagging. It will work fine for a minute then seconds later it lags. It will lag between switching characters, when they perform actions, and it even seems my loading screen will lag a little too. When it comes down to mods, I will enable the scripts and mods in options settings of the game but when I restart it, they are no longer switched on. It seems many have have this issue and have not fixed this yet. I believe it was something about EA updates. How can I fix these issues? 

I have tried the following:

x. re-installed the game + origin

x. repair game option

x. Switching between old and new save files. (New save file works fine, not the "old" one made by lilsimsie (which is also her newest))

x. switching between the 32-bit and 64

x. removing all my folders from the sims4 folder, placing them back inside

x. YouTube videos for possible solution options

What should I do? I need sims4 to work properly.

    @PamelaB01 For the mods: Try trashing the options.ini file and have the game create a new one. After that, reset everything once more and then it should hopefully stick.

    For the lags

    Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    - Press Windows-Key + R
    - Type: DxDiag
    - Click on Save all Information.
    - Attach the Text File to your post

    To Whom It May Concern,

    After the current June 2020 Patch Update (Right before the Eco Expansion Pack), my game has experienced an issue. I will load into my game and save file but when I decided to go into build mode and exit, the build mode icon will not re-appear and then my game will run as if there are no issues meaning my sims will continue to move around as if the game is running smoothly. I also can't exit the game without using task manager upon my game. Also, once again my game is lagging after working properly for a good month or so. Not to mention, I did download about 10 more maxis match CC items but I don't think that's the issue as the CC is new and updated hairs + clothes. Is anyone else experiencing this and how can I fix this issue at hand? 

    I have tried the following:

    Please Help!

    Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.

    If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
