Game minimises at Main screen selection
When I go to start a saved game, start a new game, basically anything, the game closes to minimised state on taskbar. I did report this previously with other issues, but had my case closed due to listing too many issues in the one post.
I have found this to be highly intermittent, but would say it happens everytime at load up after the LoveStruck expansion update... although I have not purchased LoveStruck as a pack. This last update has STUFFED UP my gaming experience as a whole... NOT HAPPY TO SAY THE LEAST.
It means that I don't know IF I'm going to be able to get access to each of my saved games, or start a new one at all.
@mjdsaund Try forcing the game to open in windowed mode. Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).
If that helps, you can try windowed fullscreen mode, and you can try fullscreen mode again but with the in-game resolution set to match your monitor. These settings are with the other graphics options.
If this doesn't help, please disable any apps you use that come with overlays: Discord, Steam, etc. Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well; the option is under Settings > Application.
