Get To Work: Sims 4 won't download

I recently purchased TS4 Get To Work expansion pack. After having some....issues....with my EA account getting temporarily banned, my base game works but my expansion pack won't download. When I tried to download it, it said download failed. It shows that I purchased the pack, it's in my library, but I can't get it to download. I have tried to clear cache on the EA app, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled TS4 to try and troubleshoot. Neither has worked. Please help!

Edit 1: Tried the solution a few months ago, but haven't played for a while because of college. Still having the same issues, and can't download Get to Work. Any suggestions?

@xxrussiandollxx  The point is to create the Games folder, or whatever you want to call the folder, on C, or whichever drive you want to use.  The idea here is to create a new folder that currently doesn't exist at all because it therefore also can't have been corrupted.

  • @xxrussiandollxx  If you use a third-party antivirus, please set an exception for EADesktop.exe, and for TS4_x64.exe while you're at it.  Windows Defender doesn't typically cause problems during the install process.

If that doesn't help, please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Sims 4 and the EA App.  Start with Sims 4:

    • Put aside your Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts and rename it to something that doesn't include the words "Sims 4."
    • Download Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) from here.
    • Launch Revo, select Sims 4 from the list, and click Uninstall.
    • Once the game is uninstalled, select "Moderate" under "scanning modes," and click Scan.
    • Review the list, in case there's something you want to save; otherwise, click Select All, and then Delete.
    • Close Revo, and restart your computer.

Uninstall the EA App with Revo as well.  I don't have instructions for that at the moment, but the process should be straightforward.  Restart again when you're done.

Install the EA App, then create a new folder into which you'll install Sims 4.  The folder should be on the root level of the drive of your choice, for example C:\Games is fine, but not C:\Program Files\Games.

@puzzlezaddicthow do I find the C:\Games file? Whenever I try to, it only shows C:\Program Files\Games. Should I place it somewhere else?
