Glitches in Sims 4, map is blue, objects are invisible

Hello,

I did the latest update for the Sims 4 today. I hadn't played in a while but I am having a few issues with the game which I couldn't find any relevant posts on. 

- When I try to edit a Sims look or clothing in CAS mode, I can't click on them, it just shows the video camera and arrows icon but doesn't respond to clicking on them to go into the editor. This is only resolved for a second if I switch to my browser and then go back into the Sims, but is only fixed for a moment before going back to normal.

- When I am in a map in build mode or in live mode, the world around the map turns blue on and off as I zoom

- Any items I place in the map become invisible except their shadow is visible and when I hover my mouse on them I can see the 'highlight' but not the item itself. This also fixes itself for a second if I switch to another program and come back into the Sims or if I switch to build mode and back, they appear normally for a moment then go back to this. 

Other info: 

- Running Windows 10

- My graphics settings are all on the highest settings possible, I have a good graphics card and a gaming PC that runs a lot of other games smoothly. 

Troubleshooting I have tried

- Removed all mods

- Removed localthumbcache.package file

- Renamed Sims 4 folder to backup and let the program create a new folder with non of my old saves

- Restarted the game

- Turned off mod setting in game (even tho mods were already gone)

Anybody know what could be causing these issues and how I could go about fixing them? TIA!
