Go to festival during social event?

Hi all, Silly question probably, but I don't get how it works. Sometimes other sims would invite me to a festival by phone. When I agree they come over to my house and a social event begins. Then ...

Hi @Gilles_Pittoors

they should not actually come to your house but meet you on the festival lot

Where are those festival taking place ? The neighborhood you live in ? Are those key holders or just friends ? Does it always happen like this ?

Also are you using mods/cc ?

    Dear Crin,

    Thank you for the help. The festival take place all over the city. These sims are acquaintances but not friends and they do not have a key. I do not have any mods and it always happens like this. I get a text asking if I want to go to the festival; I say yes and some time later they arrive at my apartment and the social event begins. Maybe I have to go to the festival first?

      I have to test this but as far as I remember I always met them there when they invited me.

      Maybe something changed since I last played
