@107531kop You can try playing another household for a few sim-hours and then switching back to the Goths; hopefully Mortimer will still be alive when you get back. (And you can quit without saving if he isn't.) Or you can try using a previous save. You'll lose a bit of progress, but maybe you'll avoid the household glitching out. Here's how to recover a save:

@puzzlezaddict thanks, I'll try the playing from another family first and then switch... if that doesn't work I'll recover the save... I won't be losing a lot of game progress because in that gameplay I switch between families a lot
