Green Screen when streaming on Steam

Trying to watch my best friend play Sims lately on Steam and cant as all I get is a green screen when I hit watch game. My friend has got the brand new crystel creations stuff pack that Sims just dropped and we never had this problem before till now. 

Having the same problem trying to stream my Sims 4 to my Steam on my Macbook Air M2 2022. I literally was able to use it earlier today before my fiance gifted me Crystal Creations, and then when I tried to load up Steam remote play the green screen showed up and I'm unable to do anything. Not sure if it's for sure connected ot the pack but I'm definitely wondering now that someone else has had a similar problem.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start game in Steam and activate remote play on steam deck.
What happens when the bug occurs? Screen stays green on remote play device, while running perfectly fine on the streaming pc.
What do you expect to see? i expect to be able to remote play the game
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

So lately i havent been able to play sims 4 trough remote play on any device i try to. doesnt work on mobile phone, ipad nor the steam deck. apparently many people have been running into this issue since the last crystal patch. i just hope we get a fix for this sooner rather than later 🙂

Did you try contacting Steam Support for help with this.

its literally got nothing to do with steam. Its either a problem on EA's part or the update/DLC that broke the remote play function of the game.

I think you will find that Remote play is something that Steam offers and the Steam deck as the name suggests are also Steam.

If it is a problem caused by the overlay the solution should be simple. Stop using it.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch the game through steam, then connect using another pc logged into the same account to stream it.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I try to stream the game to another pc via steam streaming, I just get a green screen on the secondary pc. I can see that I can still move the mouse and control the game from the second pc on the screen of the host pc, just for some reason the screen is just green.
What do you expect to see? I should be able to see the screen completely mirrored to the host pc.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I've been streaming the game via steam streaming for years, and have never had an issue with it before. This is my first time attempting it in a month or 2 so I assume it was an update that did this. I asked my brother to try to replicate it with his own devices and he had the same issue. I also saw someone expressing the same issue on the steam community page for the game.
