I receive the newsletter and read it, but event won't register. So...I'm stuck at that part too.

Having the same exact issue. My ambrosia society newsletter just up and disappeared and won't register.

Same. the task to read the letter is also gone and dissapeared before i got to read it so i had to remember that was the next task,

This happened to me too. I decided to take a chance by restarting the game. I made a new save, restarted, and loaded that save. My event UI popped back up with the Newsletter task, and the mail carrier was there delivering the mail. My sim got the mail, which was the newsletter. I immediately opened his inventory and clicked to read the newsletter right then and there. It worked. The event registered the task and progressed. Hope you guys can have luck as well. 

Hi, was having the same issue. Here’s how I got around it: loaded different lot, selected mailbox, now had the option to Reorder Ambrosia Society Newsletter, reordered, used cell phone option Expedite Mail Delivery, waited until mail carrier returned, Got Mail from Mailbox with same sim who Reordered Newsletter, letter reappeared in my inventory and i was able to read it.

Yes!! I'm having this exact issue! I got the newsletter, read it once, but it disappeared from my inventory and my tasks went blank. I tried rolling back my saves, but the event stays at the same progression, even when going back to a place in my save before I began the event. I've been trying to fix it for two hours, thought I was going crazy, lol. 

I did try switching households but didn't see a newsletter there, either. But I see there are some other  suggestions in the thread, so I'll try these. Of course, this is the one event I really, really want to play, and it bugs out on me. SO. Frustrating. 😤

I had the same issue yesterday i made couple of adjustment before i went into bed in hope whenever i get some time to play today it will work but it's silly that so many of got the same problem, I hope you all will find a way around the issue :) best of luck  🌻

I've just popped on. tried again and had the same issue as yesterday. mailman getting stuck and then the newsletter magically appearing & dissapearing!

HOWEVER just got the willow creek mailbox. (im in that world) clicked it and requested a copy of it for $120 or something. mailman walked up. posted it. I grabbed it from the mailbox ... AND IT CLEARED!

Hi. I tried this but sadly even the option to reorder the newsletter wont appear for me. I tried to move my sim to another lot. Then I tried with a different household and lastly I created a new save file and the option still wont appear for me. I am glad it worked for you though. I guess I just have to keep trying. 

I did the same, it's been driving me mad. Nothing so far seems to work. I really wanted to play this event too, there is some really neat rewards and now I am worried if I will be even able to get them. I hope we both get it working eventually. 

I'm having a similar problem. I don't know if I received the newsletter, it looked like my sim got one (there was an animation), but there was nothing in my inventory to interact with.  I also can't 'reorder' the gazette, which I've read some people tried.  And just as a note, I don't have ANY mods installed.  So, at least that's eliminated as the cause. 

And now I don't get a quest window with the tasks listed when I click the little reaper icon, I just get this. 

exact same issue. I have tried all the "work arounds" nothing has fixed this issue for me. No mods, no CC. :( 

I had this issue as well. I was playing with one of my sims that already had gardening level 10 due to the fact that his aspiration was to be an expert nectar maker.He also was level 10 cooking , so I thought maybe he needed to be level 10 Gourmet cook, that also did not work so I switched to a sim with low level skills in all the above mentioned skill and that worked.

Same  wasn't even done with week one

Have you managed to find a work around ? I keep closing without saving cus it's in my inventory but every type I try to read it it just disappears . I even tried to save it to the gallery but it won't let me 

Same here. I get the letter every day. But every time I open it, nothing changes as far as getting the credit for it. It seems so far that it isn’t letting me move forward with the challenge. I’ve sent a error report to EA. Hopefully, they’ll fix the issue soon. 

Update: I got a new mailbox. It gave the option to request replacement letter. I did. It worked. 

I was having a similar issue where I could get the letter, but the game wouldn't recognize I had. I tried repairing the game first, then switching mailboxes. The Willow Creek mailbox was the one that worked and I'm playing in Forgotten Hollow on a rental lot. I tried both the old country mailbox from Get Together, and default ol' rusty mailbox first and neither worked

I can't get past the letter I have read it and it won't register 

When I finally got to this part (newsletter), I got it, read it and then nothing.  It still showed waiting.  I repaired my game (again) and tried again but still nothing completes that task.  It took multiple times of game repair to get the other tasks to complete.  I took all my mods out.  This is frustrating and annoying.

I have the same issue as everyone else here  - I expedited delivery of the Ambrosia Society Newsletter, opened the mail and had 2 copies of the letter, but when I read them they just vanished and now I have no tasks left, having already completed Assistant to the Grim Reaper.  Looks like we need some EA peeps to resolve the issue 🤞
