HELP! My sims game won't start and the icon has turned red?

So I just pre-downloaded the new expansion and all of a sudden my game icon when loaded is red with a black box, it looks corrupted. It also will not load or even show up whatsoever. When I click on ...

    Thanks! I removed all my cc and tried to repair it and that seemed to have done the trick. If it happens in the future I will try out your suggestion! 🙂

If you have any Mods or CC please remove them and delete the localthumbcache.package file.

    Thanks! I removed all my cc and tried to repair it and that seemed to have done the trick. If it happens in the future I will try out your suggestion! 🙂
