Help with Dxdiag

    @GiardiniDiMarzo  I don't see anything in your dxdiag that would suggest problems with Sims 4.  You should be able to play on ultra graphics settings, and any lag or performance issues you see would likely be the game's fault, not your computer's.

    While your graphics driver is a few months old, it's new enough to work fine with Sims 4, and the dxdiag doesn't list any graphics-related errors.  It's not necessary to keep the graphics driver completely up to date; it's fine to wait 6-9 months to update if you're not running any new games, you don't see any related issues, and the new driver doesn't offer a feature you'd like to have.

    Your dxdiag does list a few Windows update errors, so you may want to run the updates manually and see if any of them fail to install.  Click Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If you get an error, or the process hangs, let me know.

    @puzzlezaddict @jpkarlsen Thank you both so much. I have launched Windows Update and have not encountered any problems. However, there are optional updates that I don't know whether to download or not. (see picture)

      @GiardiniDiMarzo  You typically don't need to install optional updates unless you're running into issues, and even then you'd want to research whether the update in question has anything to do with the error.  While the optional updates shouldn't do any harm, there's always a chance of introducing a new bug.

      The third driver in your screenshot is a chipset driver, going by the driver version, and I'd guess the others are too, although there isn't enough info in your screenshot to be sure.  Since you have a custom build, I'd recommend instead installing whatever chipset drivers are offered on the download page for your motherboard.

      Your dxdiag doesn't list the board, but you can find it in a few different ways, including looking inside the case for a product number.  Then just google the product, choose the manufacturer's page (not some third-party download site and definitely not a site that offers to keep your system up to date for you), double-check that the product names match down to the letter, and install the newest chipset drivers offered.  It doesn't really matter whether those drivers are already installed: running them over the top shouldn't hurt.  Restart when you're done.

      If you're not sure what you're looking at, feel free to link the download page or just list the motherboard's model number.

      If Windows still offers you those updates, I'd still skip them, again unless you're noticing issues that you want to troubleshoot.

      The first one is likely a driver for a fingerprint reader. If you don't use it or it works fine there are no reason to download this.

      The two others I are probably minor updates to the system drivers.

      As @puzzlezaddict  said unless you have a specific issue with your PC there are generally no reason to install optional updates.
