How can I fix Sims being stuck on my lot

What happens when the bug occurs? NPC sims stay on the lot
What do you expect to see? Want them to leave
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I just wanted to know ir anyonw had a fix to make sims leave the lot after being told to do so. The last time was the grim reaper came to knock off the chicken but just stood there. I had to leave my lot and then come back so that he would go. Is there a fix for this?
The only fix I’ve currently found for when it’s a random sim that showed up is when my sim is ready to travel I take them with me and then make sure i disband the group and leave them behind. It seems the send home button is broken since sims never want to leave but just want to dig through my trash or steal my harvestables
