How come when I redeemed a code it said it already used?

i'm having problems with my sim's 4 it tells me that the code has already been used but what i also did was uninstalled it on my computer and tried it again still didn't work so can some one help ple...

If you are using the same origin account that you used to redeem the product code first time around,then please try reloading your games.For that, click on origin(top right corner of the window) and then clock on 'reload my games'.
Also,make sure that the tab over the games is set to 'all games'.
