Hi @MissieKitty - You'll want the game to load enough that you can get to the in-game settings.
For a quick fix, try pressing Alt-Enter when it is giving you the error. That would put the game in full screen mode, which should match your desktop resolution. If that works, then go into the properties menu and choose an appropriate resolution for your monitor.
If that doesn't work, you can start the game in windowed mode - close out of TS4. In Origin, right-click the TS4 icon and choose "Game Properties". On the "Advanced Launch Options" tab, in the "Command Line Arguments" box, enter "-w" (without the quotes). Then launch TS4 and change the settings.
Let us know if you get it running. There are other things to try, but these two are usually the simplest path to get to the resolution settings in game.
Thank you Blackjackwidow, I will give those a go and let you know how I get on. 🙂
