@Derrickrocks559 Where did you get these files? If they're downloaded from Origin, then Origin should already know what to do with them.
I got these files sent to me from my last computer, I sent them to my knew one, but the game wont recognize them
@Derrickrocks559 Origin needs to download the packs, or at least it needs to think it downloaded the packs. The easiest way is to just download all your packs directly from Origin. If this takes too much data however, let me know—there's a workaround of sorts, although it doesn't always work as intended.
I checked and I have all of these (EP01-SP17) flies located inside The Sims 4 file.
how do I get origin to think it gave me the packs?
@Derrickrocks559 Open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
If that doesn't help, click on the Sims 4 icon, select More > Expansion Packs, click the Download button on one of your packs, and see what happens. Origin may overwrite the files already there for that pack, or it may just verify them and move on; this seems to be hit or miss.
hi when I repaired the game, it ran better, but it still did not recognize the packs, and the download button wanted me to pay for it first. I cant afford to buy them all again ☹️ , is there anything else I can try?
is there a way I can use Steam to fix the (EP01-SP17) files?
@Derrickrocks559 Where did you originally buy the packs? And no, Steam will have the same issue as Origin.
I don't remember where the files were originally downloaded from, the old computer broke a while ago ☹️
