How do I reduce Sims 4 Lag?

hello! i’m in desperate need of help, my sims 4 game is having major lag. fps is going around 20 and below. i have around 300cc and a few mods. my mods aren’t out of date and i’ve tried a lot of the ...

    @cyberstxr  Please let me know how a new save runs in a clean user folder.  Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be in the folder you've moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

    Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

    I did what you said and my Sims game was exactly the same. I ran the Dxdiag so I hope they will reply soon but I tried the clean folder and it was the same.

      @cyberstxr  Please attach the dxdiag to a reply in this thread.  I don't have access to files submitted to EA customer support.

        The dxdiag worked, they told me to remove my cache from the game folder then remove origin folder. It worked and now I’m able to play with higher graphics too and i wasn’t able to before, thank you so much. I have just bought 4 expansion pack and I was worried I wasted my money, thank you so much again.
