How do i stop my sims actions?

When i turn the tv off, wanting trying to listen to music, his roommate comes in and turns it back on, so i turn it off, 3rd roomate later enters and also turns tv back on.It really gets frustrating, until i have no option but to sell the tv, just to listen to the music...just would like to know if there may be a mod where i can disable this dumb actions?

I dont want to turn off the autonomy, but just action?
