How do you age up toddlers, or fix this?

I aged my sims baby, now its a toddler. I already know how to age up a sim. I made my sim bake a cake, and then I had to put the candles. The option to put candles on the cake was not there, the option to put a wedding topper was not there either, and the option to put it into the sims inventory was not there as well. How am I supposed to age my sims without turning auto-age on?

A Toddler can not do these interactions. Hava an adult put on the candles and either have the adult click on the cake and select to age up the toddler or with the toddler click the cake and select Help with Age up.&nbsp;

Im making the adult make the cake, and put the candles on it. The option to put candles on the cake does not show up.

this is actually a bug. Try moving the cake to a different surface or put it in the fridge and take it back out.

Hopefully the options appears then.
