How do you "beat writer's block" under the writer's aspiration?
My sim has the writer's aspiration and I can't get past the first level. How do the heck do you beat writer's block? Does anyone out there know how?

How I Bet Writer's Block:
My sims had maxed her writing skills (getting $14000+ in royalties) and top of her career (but no writers block), she was stuck at the first level of her aspiration, needing to finish the writers block goal. Haven't been cheating at that point, but had to in order to get through that. First, I set testing cheats to true ( "testingcheats true" ), then disabled motive decay by using shift on the keyboard and clicking my sims. My sims was using the "practice writing" option on the computer, even though she was not gaining any skills from it, so she just kept writing and did not stop. Turned all moodlet aromas to disable, then speed forward, it takes a bit.. Motives at a fair (about half full) but not max level. other sims kept chatting with her (this is fine). When she got the block, she just got up from the computer, when trying to click again on the computer the writing options were grey and the uncomfortable mood was present. I had her go to the fridge and fill her hunger needs with milk (work on your sims needs) go to rooms with moodlet aromas. My kitchen was filled with it so it was easy plus her motives weren't decaying. Gave me an instant goal completion. So basicly once they get rid of their mood, then you overcome the writers block. It's not so much about overcoming it because that is inevitable, it's more about getting it to begin with. I read all your posts and did not want my sim to be a waist. Even though someone wrote that your sims had maxed out writing and can now not get writers block... not the case. I don't think their traits have much to do with it either. Also you will have to complete all the other aspiration goals to follow. Really this is the hardest part. To better your chances of success go into the aspirations window and click on the gift box and buy a moodlet that will help your sims to be more successful at writing better novels, you can even get a moodlet that will get rid of negative moodlets quicker (my sim was preset with it before getting the writers block). I play with my gameplay options set to: aging off so aging and dying was not my issue. Random death was still on, but this was not an issue luckly. I don't know if it would have been possible to get through this without cheating at that point. I would like to hear from you if you overcame this without cheating having the same set up like I had and at the equivelent skill level. Curious to know how to beat it with out cheating from that point.

- I was struggling with this too. I ended up making sure all of her other traits except for fun were up. I made her practice writing until fun got extremely low (kept cancelling conversations too). Then I made her start writing a book.
It took FOREVER but she ended up getting very tense and had to stop (showed writer's block at the bottom) I danced to the radio, ate, and made her sleep.
