Yes I just got this game too, followed the instructions and it forces you to do a download, even though I have two DVDs supposedly with the Sims 4 installation files on it. Even going through Windows Explorer like was suggested elsewhere only brings you back to the three step instructions screen. I literally see no setup program for Sims 4 on the media, only for the Origin client. If I wanted to wait all this time to download a 6-7GB game I could have purchased it online. When you go through the trouble of gettint the media, it would be nice to be able to install it with the media.

I'm having the same problem (stuck at three step screen) with install from a disc and have searched for hours for info on how to fix. Can't download game over internet due to limited data.

I completely agree im having the same exact issue. Why pay about forty dollars to get 2 discs that supposedly have the game on it. Like if are going to sell DVD's with the game on it, then let the people be able to play from the disc. I am outraged that either way I have to do this online except I payed 20 dollars more for two dumb disc that don't do anything. Disapponited in EA. :/

@Kaylinelizabeth2 maybe this helps: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/installing-from-dvd/
I like the system. I like having the boxes, I have a lot of them from all The Sims series.
But with The Sims 4 I don't have to worry about getting scratches on my disks.
