@kristinlg00 You'll need to use a symbolic link to point the game to the correct location. Here's how:
Since your secondary drive is external, it's not a good idea to move all of Documents, but the Sims 4 user folder should be fine. Make sure the user folder, the one with your saves and custom content, is in a different location than the game's program files, so the contents don't get combined. Just dropping the user folder into a different folder on the external (e.g. D:\Sims\The Sims 4 as the file path) is enough.
So what your saying is. Keep the EA folder in documents section… I’m on Mac btw… get the Sims 4 >mods folders out, move that to the external hard drive ?
