How to play sims 4 in EA app without updating

Hey, I know this is a previously asked question but I read it and it still did not answer my question, I read in that thread that you can play without updating by going into "offline" mode, but when...

    @tobyeans For Pc users now the only option is the EA app. To go offline you need to click on the 3 lines on the upper left corner (not on your avatar) and then choose Go offline.
