i cant get rid of an old game version in the sims 4

Hi! i have a problem and i don´t know how to solve it. so i was just playing sims normaly and was just about to start the game when i get like a warning or something that tells me something about a missing part and old technic and that i needed to download the sims legacy edition. my laptop is just about a year old now but i still wanted to play so i went in and downloaded it. but when i came in to the game it told me that i was playing in 32 bits instead of 64 bits (as i normaly played in) and that the packs i have could lagg. i tried to delete it but nothing works! now im stuck with the old version even tho i actually dont need it. but then i was just about to play it on the computer i am on right now writing this. (i have the same account on both my laptop and computer). so i was about to open sims when the same thing popps upp again when i earlier tried to delete the legacy version. i open the sims and. There it is again!! im so annoyed and dont know how tho delete it!

  • @hypnolili  Even if you install the Legacy Edition, you can nomally switch back to 64-bit through Origin.  Open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, and select 64-bit from the dropdown menu.

If you don't see the option, that usually means that TS4_x64.exe, which runs the 64-bit version of the game, has been blocked or deleted by an antivirus.  Running a game repair (right-click on the Sims 4 icon and select Repair) will restore the .exe, but it may be flagged again.  So you'll need to at the very least set an exception for it in your antivirus.

If that doesn't fix the issue, please let me know what antivirus you use.
