I can't launch the Sims 4

I don't know if this is a problem with Sims 4 or Origin

(this problem isn't mine its actually my friends)

When my friend tries to go on Sims 4 it says that you need to be using origin to use the game and that it need reinstalling, so she did that several times, every time it says that something went wrong. Which has left her unable to open the game. so we both searched Google and other people have had the same problem and said they still cant get on sims after months!

She only has the base game, no extensions so its not an error with any new games and she hasn't downloaded any other games on origin, only Sims 4.

Is there any way of fixing this?
