i can't place an item from kids stuff pack

Hi there all you experienced Simmers. I have a dilemma here. I am recently having a big problem with  placing a certain object from the Kids Stuff Pack. "Don't wake the Llama" table game for both kids and adults. seems the game disappears after a few minutes of placing it. the table remains but the game is gone. then i click on the table , it gives me the option to replace the game. my sim sits at the table then stands up right away and its still not fixed.  It seems to be one problem after another, am getting to the point of just selling it and be done with it. *Sighs*is there any way to get around this issues?
