    First of all try moving your Sims 4 folder to your desktop (Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims4). Don't worry, your saves will be safe there. Try starting the game up and starting a new game. This is to test and make sure that the game will start up fine. It also allows the game to replace the Sims 4 folder. Play for an hour or so, save your new game and then exit. Start up Sims 4 again and see if the "new game" is there and allows you to start up the "new" game. If it does, then you should be able to move the Saves folder from the file on your desktop to the new folder found in the Documents file.
