I can't see the videos I recorded in sims 4

So I've been trying to record some videos in the sims 4 for awhile now with the V button, but when I go to Electronic Arts>Videos and click on the video I recorded it plays but it's just black and no...

    You could try Windows Media Player.

With what are you trying to open the video?

It's films and tv in my files.

    Could you try opening it with a different program like VLC?

      I'd prefer not to download a whole new program but I will if I need to. Is there any other way to get this to work?
