i cant type when i try to do cheats

i have no clue what that means i just got a PC just for sims and now can't figure out why i can't type into the cheats tab  Edit By Crinrict: Split from other thread, Adjusted Titel

Hello!

I am trying to type in cheats for a new Sims save, the cheats window pops up, but it doesn't allow me to type in anything. It doesn't show any type of error message. I'm not really sure how to fix this and I tried to look through other threads. I'm used to playing on Mac but now I play on a Windows PC on the EA App and I'm new to this type of computer. If there's any advice on how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
