We've confirmed that what @funkylaidy said is accurate: just ignore the prompts to choose a program after you've inserted disk 2, and the install will conclude on its own. 🙂
None of that helps to be honest but I do appreciate your responses but mine never installed. Someone else told me that it's the sountrack but I really have no idea at this point. Ea could have wrote soundtrack across it if that is the case or they could have given better instructions on what to do with disc 2. I already tried installing that disc into my computer, if it worked, I wouldn't still be having this issue with it.
So, I don't believe the problem is solved.
I'm still having the same problem as you with disc 2 even after reading all of these. going through the folder on my computer for the cd leaves me empty handed too, there is absolutey nothing i can even do with disc 2 besides read a bunch of zip files. my thoughts are maybe everything to be installed was taken care of by disc 1? i have no clue... but it's driving me crazy.
I have Sims 4 Premium Edition running on Windows 8. Put in first disc and ran it as suggested. When I went to put in the second disc that auto run file couldnt be found. I went into the Sims 4 files. 2 auto runs and a zip file. Clicked on the auto run file with the Sims green icon as with the zip file gives me lists of
where would you like the file to open into? Thats my question guys. Been waiting for this game for months now a cant even open it. I hope its not the start of things to come....as I love playing this game like everyone we want enjoyment not frustration. Im sure we all appreciate a quick solution to this issue. If you're unsure whether you have the game completely installed, just right click the game tile in Origin and select "Verify Game Files" "Check for Updates". The game itself shouldn't launch without having downloaded the latest updates and checked it is complete.
Have you tried downloading the game through Origin?
