I lost every single household in one save file

So basically I was going onto this one save file in my game and when I moved my cursor over all of the houses (even the original townies) there was a blue flashing square where the picture SHOULD be, I click on the house and it doesn’t even show the members, and it won’t let me play. I looked at my other save files and no other save file has this issue. I decided to make 2 families on a different world in the glitched save file and it seemed to work fine, I go to manage worlds and went to let’s say oasis springs and every single home had no one in it. (Not even the regular townies) please help me
