Idle sims and flickering shadows

Ever since this last patch my sims will not complete a task. For example if I select "sleep" They walk to the bed but then just stand there. I will clear the task and select "brush teeth" and they walk to the sink and stand there. Other sims are not autonomous anymore as they also are idle even when not actively being played.

Also, the shadows in my game have a horrendous flicker that makes it difficult to look at the screen.

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
