Interestingly enough, for those complaining / fretting about your preload, patience paid off for me. I was able to enjoy a long weekend at the beach to return home today and preload without any issues whatsoever.
While I fully appreciate anyone having issues perhaps, since we are still more than a day away from actually being able to play the game, everyone needs to take a step back, drink their favorite beverage and chill. EA has always made things right, maybe not as quickly as you'd like but ultimately it gets resolved.
