Initialization error at start up
I can not open my sims 4 application after updating the base game. It keeps saying Initialization error at startup. I've tried repairing the game through EA and I've also tried uninstalling and reins...

Can I put the backup folder in my desktop? Then what am I gonna do after I install again? Wouldn’t there be a new sims 4 folder? I’m so sorry for asking a lot of questions.
@mereloi Please ignore the other thread, which was for a user with a different error and probably very different hardware than you have. (And I wrote the original reply, so I would know.) Just set the exceptions I listed in post 2.
