Initilalization Error/Constant Repairs for Sims 4

Hello, I’ve been struggling for the past two days to open the Sims 4. I’ve reinstalled the app about four times and have completed multiple repairs. Now my EA app has been crashing upon opening but I still can access it after I restart the app. Everytime I try to open the Sims 4, EA keeps asking me to repair it. The last time I tried I got an Initialization Error which is new. Is there anyone who can lend me assistance with this? Thank you for your time.

  • @7061dc000fd70872  Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), and download a fresh copy of the App installer.

Once the App is reinstalled, try again to repair Sims 4.  If that doesn't work, restart your computer, then run the App as an admin: right-click its desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator."  If that doesn't work either, and you use a third-party antivirus, disable it, clear the App's cache, and try again to repair.

Let me know what problems, if any, persist after the repair.  If you still can't repair at all, please list the game's install location.  Open your EA App game library, click Sims 4, select Manage > View properties, and you'll see the file path there:

  • I forgot to add that when I click play, sometimes it will allow me to open the Sims 4 but it doesn’t show me the screen. Also, when I click play again it says the Sims 4 is already running but there is no screen then my app quits. Thank you to anyone who can assist me with this problem.

  • Hello, I have completed all of the solutions you have listed above. I sincerely thank you for your help, but unfortunately none of them worked for me. After reinstalling EA with the Revo app and repairing TS4, I clicked play but it quit after a few seconds. Then, I moved onto running EA as an administrator, but the EA app would load in for a second then immediately quit. Finally, I disabled my virus protection McAfee and cleared cache then repaired TS4 again, but after clicking play the game didn’t load in at all and immediately quit. My games install location is listed as:

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\

Hello, I just wanted to come and say that I found the problem. I had downloaded CC which was for the Sims 3 which totally ruined my game. I had no idea one file could completely stop it from loading. Still, I appreciate your help and assistance. Thank you very much and thank you for your time.
