Invisible Items

Product: The Sims
Platform: PC

What language do you play in?: English
How often does the bug occur? All the time. All items are listed but not all of them show up when trying to place.
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.

Steps: How can we find the bugs ourselves? I'm not sure. Packs like Island Living and Vampires seems to work, but almost every other pack won't show up.
What happens when the bug occurs? A lot of the items I place are solely from the gallery, some lots work with little to no issue and some lots have the majority of the greenery, doors, windows, and stairs visually missing. Some lots show the outline of where the doors and windows and stairs would be and some just have it invisible entirely. Missing isn't exactly the right word, but they're not visible, however operable (sims are able to walk up invisible stairs).
What do you expect to see? I'm not sure how to make the items visible again. They're visibly listed in build/buy items however not all of them are visible when trying to place, I just dunno how to correct this.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I haven't really played this game much since the most recent patch the issue has occured (downloading more mods likely doesn't help either).

I've found a similar forum asking this about a year ago, and when reading the comments talking about the UI Cheats Mod, I don't see it within my mods, nor think I have ever downloaded that mod specifically.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
