Keeps asking to activate when its already been activated!

So it's been about a week since i've played The SIMS 4 and today went to open it, it said it needed and update, i clicked accept then it sent me to Origign to log in then sent me to activate my game. I thought it was odd, since i had already done this when i frist got the game, but seeing as how the only option i had was to do this i went ahead and entered it. well...now it says that code is being used and i cant even find my game on origin. very frustrating that origin has to control everything, i mean where the heck is my game?! did I just spend all this money to not be allowed to play something i paid for?
