Keeps crashing on startup, im at a loss

Hey there,

Trying to play sims 4 again after a while and I've updated it in the EA app and it keeps crashing on start up. I've done just about everything I can that doesn't wipe out my entire computer:

- uninstall & re-installing the game

- repairing the game

- updating ALL of my drivers

- Taking the sims folder and bringing it to the desktop so it can create a new folder

- disabling the in-game overlay in EA

I am just at a loss at this point for what to do and it's stressing me out.

Any ideas?

    @Zombuddie  Thanks for the dxdiag, which was very helpful here.  Try temporarily disabling McAfee—one of its processes is crashing over and over.  While I can't tell you for sure that this is happening when you're trying to run Sims 4, at least not from the information in the dxdiag, there are quite a lot of crashes.  As long as you don't do anything else while McAfee is disabled, your computer should be safe.  If this helps, uninstall and reinstall McAfee, then set exceptions for TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe.

    If you don't want McAfee on your computer, remove it using the official tool:

    If that doesn't help, please try disabling any Asus software, for example ArmouryCrate (or similar names), before launching Sims 4.  Simply kill the processes in the Task Manager, then launch the game without restarting your computer.
