Hey,

please can someone tell me is this laptop good for the sims 4 and if not please can you recommend another on curry’s for £600 or less. I have no idea what’s good so would really appreciate any help!!

  • @nikof74  This is a significantly better laptop for gaming.  It's about twice as fast in gaming as the ones I linked and should run all current Sims 4 content on ultra settings without a problem.  If you're happy with it and don't mind paying a little extra, then it's clearly the best choice from a performance standpoint.  That doesn't mean the others are bad; they're just not in the same category when it comes to raw gaming power.

  • @nikof74  This laptop is fine for Sims 4, capable of running Sims 4 on medium-high to high graphics settings with all current packs installed.  Six months ago I'd have said it was about as good as you could do without getting a gaming laptop, which would cost more than £600.  But there are newer, faster graphics chips available in non-gaming laptops now.  For example, the chip in this laptop is significantly faster, something like 50% in gaming, on average:

The MSI also has a better screen, although it's smaller.  If that's a problem, this is a good alternative, with the same internal hardware and still right at £600:

If you'd like to keep the price down, you could match the performance of the Asus for around £500.  Let me know if you're interested.  And if you have more questions about the above laptops or in general, please feel free to ask.

    Hello,

thanks so much for taking the time to respond I really appreciate it!

I know I said curry’s but I also seen this one on Argos - do you think it is worth the bit extra?

I would just prefer the laptop which the game will run the quickest on and not be too laggy, which one would you personally go for out of the ones mentioned? I will go with your recommendation because like I say I am useless with this stuff!

    thank you 🙂
